Hi, I'm Lilli, a self taught artist and freelance illustrator based in Osnabrück, Germany. I've been painting for as long as I can remember – art is part of who I am and runs through every aspect of my life.
When it comes to my classical oil paintings, I draw inspiration from academic classicism. I'm fascinated by the techniques of the old masters and have been incorporating them into my own paintings for years.
My illustrations, however, are heavily influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite movement, which references medieval motifs, early 20th-century Art Nouveau, and the fairy tale illustrations of the Brothers Grimm.
My love for nature is a constant theme in my artworks and serves as a major influence for the background art I create for my hand-drawn animations.

Last but not least, a few fun facts about me!
My favorite artists are William A. Bouguereau and Kazuo Oga.
Things that make me happy include timber-framed houses, blackletter fonts, daffodils and pansies as well as the color sage.
Finally, when I’m not hunched over my paintings with poor posture, you’ll find me tufting rugs, making pottery, playing piano – or entertaining my two dearly loved cats.
